ʻŌlelo Noʻeau  are traditional Hawaiian proverbs that convey cultural wisdom, values, and observations about life and nature.
KMR ALAKA'I

Uhiwai (Mist) clings to ridges and forest canopies, delivering water to ferns, mosses, and epiphytes in high-elevation ecosystems. It forms through condensation and helps maintain the soundscape, humidity, and light of the forest. Uhiwai provides refuge and stability in a changing climate and supports the health of native plant life (USGS, Hawaiʻi Forest Institute, Bishop Museum).
