ʻŌlelo Noʻeau  are traditional Hawaiian proverbs that convey cultural wisdom, values, and observations about life and nature.

Pulelehua (Kamehameha Butterfly) is one of only two native butterfly species in Hawaiʻi. It has orange, black, and white wings and is usually seen fluttering near māmaki, its host plant. It plays a role in pollination and is an indicator of ecosystem health. Conservation efforts focus on restoring its habitat. As a daytime forest insect, it brings movement and is a symbol of resilience (UH Mānoa, Bishop Museum, Conservation Biology Institute).
