ʻŌlelo Noʻeau are traditional Hawaiian proverbs that convey cultural wisdom, values, and observations about life and nature.

Pueo (Hawaiian Owl) is a ground-nesting owl active at dawn and dusk, found across forests and grasslands of the Hawaiian Islands. It glides silently over open areas and helps control rodent populations. With sharp vision and a hovering flight, pueo is well adapted to its environment. It is often seen as a protector in cultural stories and remains a symbol of ancestral guidance (DLNR, Hawaiʻi Audubon Society, Wikipedia).
