The ʻUaʻu (Pterodroma sandwichensis), also known as the Hawaiian Petrel, is a remarkable seabird native to the Hawaiian Islands.  It is renowned for its long transoceanic flights and nocturnal behaviors. This endangered species nests on remote, mountainous terrain.

Nēnē

The Nēnē (Branta sandvicensis), also known as the Hawaiian Goose, is a distinct species of goose endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. Recognized for its striking appearance, with a black face, buff-colored cheeks, and a distinctive neck band, the Nēnē is the world's rarest goose.

Pueo

The Pueo (Asio flammeus sandwichensis), is an endemic bird species found in the Hawaiian Islands. However, its population faces threats from habitat loss, vehicle collisions, and introduced predators, warranting conservation efforts to protect this iconic Hawaiian owl.

The pricing shown below is based on double occupancy, meaning each guest may share a room with a spouse/partner or another team member for the entirety of the stay. All accommodations, food, activities at KMR and transportation to and from the Kealakekua Mountain Reserve's lower offices are included.
